NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) – Iberia Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating the cause of a fatal crash that claimed the life of a New Iberia man on Thanksgiving Day.

The crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West Admiral Doyle Drive.

Provost and a 28-year-old passenger were taken to a Lafayette hospital, where Provost died.

The passenger remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition.
