New Iberia Police Chief Todd D’Albor reports that police recovered an AR-15 assault weapon and three pistols after executing a search warrant on a home in the 800 block of Mixon Street.
D’Albor said police obtained a search warrant and once inside the residence located an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine and three pistols, one with an extended magazine.
Police were following up on an ongoing investigation when the weapons were found, D’Albor said.
He said they expect to make an arrest soon.
