A new public library, called West Regional Public Library, is under construction in Scott at the intersection of Old Spanish Trail and the planned Apollo Road extension. 

The new library will be 17,000 square feet and sit on six acres of property. 

West Regional Library will offer study rooms, a large conference room, a story time area, public access computers, collections for adults, teens and children, a fax machine and copy machine, and wi-fi.  

The library will be open 7 days a week, including evening hours. 

City officials have not said when they expect the library to open.
