  • Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured. Deputies believe the two had a dispute before the shooting.
  • Louisiana State Police are investigating a shooting incident involving an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputy. Police say the deputy responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked near a business. After contact with person inside the vehicle, the deputy opened fire.
  • 16-year-old Candace Sam remains in the ICU after she was shot on her way home from her prom after party. Her father says that a bullet remains in his daughters chest. 18-year-old Peter Castille of Breaux Bridge is charged with 5 counts of attempted second degree murder following the shooting.
  • A Louisiana nurse has died from blood clots in the days after being attacked by a patient at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Authorities are investigating if the woman’s death was directly related to injuries from the incident.
  • Holden Matthews accused of setting fire to 3 churches now faces charges of a hate crime. The pastor Of one of the churches is confident justice will be served.
  • The Paris prosecutors’ office says investigators are treating the blaze that destroyed part of Notre Dame as an accident for now. The building’s outer walls and two bell towers were salvaged.
  • The Justice Department will release a redacted version of the Mueller Report on Thursday. Last month it was determined that no one in the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.
  • Single day reserved tickets for Bayou Country Superfest go on sale this morning. The two-day festival will be held Memorial Day weekend at LSU’s Tiger Stadium.
