Here are some of today’s headlines you should know before heading out the door:
- A mother and father were arrested and charged in the death of their two-month old infant daughter. They have been charged with first degree murder and second degree cruelty to juveniles.
- A Duson family is looking for help after a fire destroyed their home. The fire happened Saturday afternoon in the 5000 block of West Congress. A link to their GoFundMe account and donated items needed is available here.
- Residents in one Iberia Parish subdivision claim a man in a van is trying to snatch their dogs. The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says they haven’t received any complaints yet, but if you see anything suspicious to call them.
- On Tuesday the Lafayette Consolidated Government Finance Liaison Committee will meet to discuss paying for security to check in visitors at the Parish Courthouse. The Council chair says this year will no longer be footing the bill.
