  • Five Acadiana residents survived a single engine plane crash in Alabama on Saturday. The FAA is investigating what caused the crash.
  • The Lafayette Fire Department is investigating what they’re calling a suspicious fire. It happened at a home that neighbors say has been vacant for few months.
  • Maps showing the proposed new city and parish council districts have been released, identifying the possibile separation of Lafayette city and parish councils. The proposal will have to first be approved by the council for introduction during Tuesday’s meeting.
  • Tonight, President Trump will nominate his successor to replace Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court. Kennedy announced his retirement two weeks ago.
  • The operation to rescue a youth soccer team from a flooded cave in Thailand has entered a new stage. So far five boys were brought out safely. The rescue mission continues.
  • The Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assitance program is coming to an end in just a few weeks. Homeowners who still need assistance with completing the survey have until July 20th to get help from representatives.
  • Saturday night Lafayette native, and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier defeated the Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic in Las Vegas.
