• Many residents in Breaux Bridge are without water after a fire hydrant was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening.  Crews turned off the water following the crash while they work to fix the issue.
  • Every year, St. Landry Parish School Board member for district 1, Anthony Standberry fries more than a dozen turkeys, for local churches to give out to families in need this thanksgiving.

  • Opelousas life church is hosting their feed the city event beginning at 11 am this morning.  It takes place at the opelousas civic center.
  • New Beginning Ministries in Lafayette is hosting their second year of feeding first-responders, law-enforcement and the homeless today.  This year they hope to feed up to 500 people.
  • Early voting for the December 8th election begins this weekend.  The period runs from this Saturday to the following Saturday, December first.
