Students at Northside High School in Lafayette can now exercise their mind and body by riding and reading.

On Wednesday, active pedal workstations were set up inside the school’s library which encourage students to get moving while studying.

The active pedal workstation consist of a stationary bike attached to a desk that students can peddle backwards and forwards.

The purpose, according to school administrators, supports the body as well as the mind.

The active workstations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, however students must reserve their time slot.
