LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – A Northside High School student has been arrested after allegedly bringing a gun on the school’s campus.

Randy Bernard, a spokesperson for the Lafayette Parish School System, said school administrators received a tip that a gun was on campus and the school was placed on lockdown.

Lafayette Police found the gun and arrested the student responsible.

Bernard said no students were injured or harmed during the incident.
