One person is dead after a shooting in Crowley late Friday evening.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting around 8 p.m. on West 8th Street, according to Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson,

Police found one man dead of apparent gunshot wounds when they arrived on scene. Family members tell KLFY the victim is Jeremy George, 32, of Crowley.

The police department has not confirmed the victim’s name. Gibson says so far no motive has been established.
