Big Baller Brand was launched in 2016 by media personality and retired football and basketball player LaVar Ball.
It’s known for its signature shoes produced for the Ball brothers.
This internet based business boasts being built on “core family values.”
However, consumers are complaining this business is scamming them.
Jenn Love, with the Better Business Bureau of Acadiana, says “They’re actually making orders and they’re not receiving their orders. They’ll wait weeks, they’ll wait months, there’s no phone call to call. They’ll send an email and they’ll get a generic email if an answer at all.”
Even though this online company was created by a celebrity, it’s unprofessional in being unresponsive toward customers.
“It’s just so frustrating because any business that has non-responsive customer service it’s just not good but this company in particular is using his celebrity status to pump his business and now is being not responsive. He’s known for selling his shirts and his sweatshirts and he designs special shoes for his kids,” explains Love.
There’s currently a lawsuit against the Big Baller Brand. The chino company claims they haven’t been paid.
“They took all these products and they designed them for them. They put all the printing on them and everything and then now they’re waiting for their $25,000 and Big Baller Brand hasn’t paid them,” adds Love. “We’re still trying to fight the cause for it and hopefully people will be refunded for that.”
