An Opelousas family is counting their blessings despite losing all of their belongings in a house fire.
The fire broke out this morning at a home on Perry Lane in Opelousas.
The house was destroyed but the family of five managed to escape with their lives.
The Opelousas Fire Department is still investigating a cause.
