OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – Opelousas Police are investigating the cause of a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. on Gloston Street.

According to Public Information Officer Corey Leger, one victim was shot and transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

Officers have not made an arrest at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
