An Opelousas teen is hoping to take his talents to the big leagues, after being selected by agents to travel to Los Angeles for a call-back audition.
Brendan Love Jones is a 14-year-old native, with a big voice and tons of personality. The teen was approached by a huge opportunity and is striving to become the next ‘rising star.’
Jones began singing gospel songs at the age of three with his grandfather. By the age of five, his voice
was heard all over the community and began performing statewide.
He performed at churches, schools, the mayor’s office and even basketball games. Jones expanded his reach and started acting with the Christian Youth Theatre.
After six local broadway musicals down, the teen auditioned for agents with Nexstar Production and was selected out of 200 participants to attend a call back in LA.
Jones believes he can use his talents to make a difference.
“I want to make this community proud. I want to make my mom proud. I want to make my family proud,” said Jones. “I want to let this community be known for something positive and I can achieve that. I just need help along the way,” he added.
Brendan is searching for sponsors to help me defray the cost of the trip.
A ‘Brendan Jones Benefit Fund’ was created at MidSouth Bank. Additional sponsors can contact his mother Tharvasha Davison at dtharvasha@yahoo.com or call (337) 255-7125
