Opelousas water restrictions are now lifted. 

At 12:00 pm, the Opelousas Public Works Department notified the Mayor’s office that water samples were submitted, tested, and cleared by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

It should be noted that:

• THE CITY-WIDE BOIL ADVISORY IS LIFTED.
• The water is safe to drink.
• Residents should flush faucets, showers and Ice Dispensers prior to use.
