UPDATE: The intersection of Colorado and West Congress is now open for traffic.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office says one person was critically injured Sunday in a traffic crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
It happened just after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Colorado and West Congress Streets.
Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer John Mowell says the driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he is listed as critical.
Other details surrounding the crash have not been released.
