Breaux Bridge Police are investigating an evening accident that injured a pedestrian.
Police Chief Rollie Cantu said it on the corner of Grand Point Highway and Elise-D Drive.
According to Cantu, 23 year old Tyrus Frederick was sitting in the road when he was hit.
The accident has been ruled unavoidable, and the driver has not been cited.
Frederick was airlifted and transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
