The pedestrian involved in a crash on Interstate 10 died due to his injuries, according to Crowley Police. 

Police say 61-year-old Alejandro Cortes Ayalah stepped into the lane of traffic from the access road of VFW Drive.

He was transported to a local hospital and then flown to a second hospital with injuries.
