A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Sunday morning in Maringouin, WAFB-TV is reporting.
The Maringouin Police Department responded to the area of Landry Drive near Church Street around 10:50 a.m., Police Chief Hosea Anderson said.
The pedestrian, identified as 43-year-old Darnell Ellsworth, was found dead at the scene, Anderson said.
