YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux says his department will begin searching area ponds using undewater sonar scanners with assistance from Louisiana State Police helicopter units as the search for 6 year old Keaton Jones continues into the night.

Boudreaux says photos of young Jones have also been sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and have been posted to their website.

“While we do not feel that he has been abducted, we cannot rule anything out at this time,” Boudreaux said.

Jones was last seen at home, in the Fortune Hills Subdivision, around 1:00 p.m. Sunday with no shirt, or shoes and wearing green underwear.

His family began the search for him with help from neighbors according to Boudreaux. He says his office was contacted around 1:45 p.m. when the child was not found by the parents.

“We have been using every every available option in an attempt to locate him.” Boudreaux said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call your local police department or 911.
