CROWLEY, La. (KLFY)—A Crowley man closed inside a home with a two-month-old child was arrested on multiple warrants, authorities said.
Police were called out to the 700 block of West Seventh Street in Crowley on Nov. 3 with information that a suspect was in the residence.
According to a spokesperson with the Crowley PD, officers with the assistance of the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office surrounded the house.
A news release stated that the suspect had closed himself in the home with his two-month-old child.
Police said they were able to retrieve the infant and then apprehend the suspect without incident.
The suspect, Myron N. Scott, 27, was arrested for warrants ranging from two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery with a firearm and purse snatching.
His bond was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail, and his bond was set at $130,000 issued by the city court judge.
