UPDATE:
Chief of Police Carroll Stelly announced the name of the victim in the homicide that occurred in Rayne on December 6, 2016 on the 400 block of West “B” North Street.
He has been identified at Mohamed Abdullar Nur, B/M, 59 years of age, 409 6th street Rayne, LA.
RAYNE, La. (KLFY) – Police in Rayne are investigating a homicide that left one man dead Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the scene just before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Reynolds Avenue and West B North Street.
A black male victim was found in the 400 block of West B North Street and transported to a Crowley hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Chief Carroll Stelly tells News 10 the identity of the victim is being held until the next of kin is notified.
Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call Rayne Police or Acadia Crimestoppers at 789-TIPS.
The investigation is ongoing.
