UPDATE: The following has been released by the Jeanerette City Police
Jeanerette City Police, with the assistance of the Jeanerette Marshal’s Office has located missing teen Kassidy Mcghee. Following a tip from a concerned citizen, aKssidy Mcghee was located at a residence in the city of Jeanerette.
Mcghee was located unharmed and was transported to the Jeanerette police department. Lafayette city police detectives were contacted and travelled to Jeanerette to interview ms. Mcghee. Following a brief interview with ms. Mcghee, she was released to her mother, who had travelled from texas to locate her daughter.
Chief Matthews would like to thank the citizens of Jeanerette, for taking an active role in reporting unusual activity in their neighborhoods. Without that crucial tip in ms. Mcghee’s whereabouts, officers would probably still be searching for her.
Both the lafayette police department and the eJanerette police department are continuing their investigations into this matter.
Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 19 year old Kassidy McGee of Lafayette.
According to Police, McGee has not been seen by her family since April 26, 2016.
A report was filed with police on May 5, 2016, with concerns regarding McGee’s medical history.
