BOSTON (AP) Police say no foul play is suspected in the death of a 7-year-old boy who wandered away unnoticed from a camp at a Boston beach and later was found dead in the water.
The Boston Globe reports city police announced that Kyzr Willis died of an accidental drowning.
The boy was last spotted by a lifeguard around 2:15 p.m. getting out of the water at Carson Beach in the city’s South Boston neighborhood.
At some point, he slipped away unnoticed from counselors at the Curley Community Center, where the day camp is held.
Kyzr’s body was located around 7 p.m. Tuesday about 15 yards from the shore behind a bathhouse that’s part of the community center.
