LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Police have released surveillance video of the suspect in this morning’s homicide in the 1000 block of Ninth Street.
Tyler Etienne, 20, of Lafayette was shot around 12:30 a.m. and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to police spokesperson Karl Ratcliff.
In the attached video, the suspect can be seen in the driveway of a nearby residence yielding a rifle styled firearm.
This footage was recorded on scene at the time of the murder.
Police say the suspect is identified as a slender black male wearing a light colored shirt and hat.
A white four-door Chevrolet Impala sedan was also seen in the area at the time of the shooting and is considered a vehicle of interest. .
There is a visible license plate on the front of the vehicle which may be a registered or vanity plate.
Detectives are seeking this suspect and vehicle at this time.
