Lafayette Police are looking for a robbery suspect who allegedly pepper sprayed a store clerk early Sunday morning.

Police say the suspect robbed the Circle K convenience store in the 1800 block of Eraste Landry Road around 12:20 a.m.

According to the store clerk, a male suspect entered the store armed with a pistol and demanded money.

After taking the money the suspect sprayed the clerk with a type of pepper spray and then fled the store on foot.

Police say the clerk received minor injuries.

Lafayette Police encourages anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect to call police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
