Bridge Engineers for the St. Martin Parish Government have authorized the re-opening of the Pontoon Bridge in Butte LaRose, effective Tuesday, June 11, at 12:00 noon.

Its closure, on May 26, was due to the effects of high water conditions on the structural integrity of the bridge, Parish President Chester Cedars then announced.  

“Thank you to everyone in the Butte LaRose area for your patience and understanding during the recent flood event.” Cedars said.
