RAYNE, La. (KLFY)— Rayne police arrested Haylie Teresa Moreland, 25, for theft by fraud over $25,000 and identity theft, authorities said.

Police say warrants for Moreland’s arrest were the result of a criminal complaint saying Moreland impersonated another person and defrauding the complainant of approximately $27,600.

Moreland was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail and her bond was set at $85,000. However according to a news release, the Louisiana Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division placed a detainer hold on Moreland preventing her from bonding at this time.
