UL Lafayette administrators, faculty and staff today honor and remember the almost 3,000 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on the U.S. 17 years ago today.
The University lost two alums as a result of the attacks: Siew Nya Ang ’88, who was working in the World Trade Center in New York, and Robert Hymel ’69, who was working at the Pentagon.
The public is invited to visit the 9/11 memorial which is located in the UL Lafayette Alumni Association gardens on St. Mary Boulevard.
