UPDATE:  As of Monday morning, both Paul and Minette Thibodeaux, remain in the Evangeline Parish Jail. Each are being held on a $35,000 bond. Authorities have still not disclosed their specific charges. 

ORIGINAL: Authorities have arrested the mother and father of  9-year-old Bryson Thibodeaux who went missing from the Evangeline Parish area Friday afternoon.

Sources tell KLFY that both Paul and Minette Thibodeaux, both 45, are behind bars at the Evangeline Parish Jail.

When KLFY contacted the jail’s intake and booking inquiring about the arrest, we were told that although arrest records, and booking mugshots are public information, that no details would be released at this time, “check your news email account after 5 p.m.” was the response from the person who answered the phone.   

Multiple police agencies including the FBI, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, State Police, Ville Platte Police, and the American Cajun Navy had been searching for 9-year-old Bryson Thibodeaux since early on Saturday. 

He was found safe before dawn Sunday near his home, according to our sources, who also said that the child had been hiding in a nearby home, underneath a bed.
