UL’s research center in New Iberia continues to expand by adding biomedical jobs.

Since the mid 1980’s, the UL research center in New Iberia has been engaged in biomedical research.

There are a number of moving parts that make this research center go. Dr. Francois Villinger explains.

“Developing new drugs and therapy’s to go to different clinics.”

Crown bio science recently located to New Iberia which produced some high paying jobs.

“Invested 2 million in doing primate work in New Iberia. Created 20 jobs with an average salary of 70k

Dr. Villinger says more jobs will be coming because of the addition of new technology.
