BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) – The Restore Louisiana Task Force has announced a new website that is dedicated solely to providing information on recovery from the flooding that occurred in March and August.
The site, restore.la.gov, serves as a single location where residents and news media can access recovery-related documents and notifications.
Visitors can also get the latest developments within each of the task force’s six work groups.
Residents can also register through the site for email updates.
The task force will also post updated information on its new Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“We encourage everyone affected by the floods to sign up for email updates,” says Julie Baxter Payer, deputy chief of staff for Gov. John Bel Edwards. “The recovery effort is wide-ranging in both its scope of work and geography, and it will be ongoing for years. This website will play a crucial role in how residents stay informed.”
The Restore Louisiana Task Force comprises 21 individuals throughout the state who were appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to oversee the rebuilding process.
The Task Force’s mission is divided into six categories: community planning, economic, health and social services, housing, infrastructure and natural and cultural resources.
