LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Authorities are continuing to ask for the public’s help, in locating a fourth suspect, involved in a horrifying kidnapping and attempted murder of a Lafayette man on Christmas evening at Acadiana Park.
That suspect is 18-year-old Gabriella Duhon. She’s wanted for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and second-degree kidnapping.
Duhon’s sister, Hailey Altman, Alex Arceneaux and his brother, Ethan Guidry, have already been arrested on multiple charges.
Guidry was booked for attempted second-degree murder for shooting at the victim.

According to investigators, Duhon allegedly lured her ex-boyfriend to the park, where he was robbed and attacked allegedly by Duhon and the 3 other suspects.
“Basically we had a criminal conspiracy. 4 individuals got together and they lured an individual into a park, said it was somebody they knew, and once he was at the park, they beat him, robbed him, and ultimately, 1 of them ended up taking a shot at him with a weapon,” said Lt. John Mowell, with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

None of the bullets hit the victim, and he was able to get away.

The attack brings up the discussion of how safe the various parks are throughout Lafayette Parish…
The Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department, has it’s own self-contained Lafayette Park Police, who patrol the 35 parks throughout the Parish.
They’re usually the first line of defense, when crime strikes.
“Hearing what you (Lester Duhe’) were telling me, like it’s a shocker. Robberies at gunpoint, that’s never happened,” said Allen Lee.
He lives across the street from Acadiana Park, the scene of a horrific attack on Christmas Day.
“There’s eyes always over here, so it’s like, there’s nothing. So I’ve never been worried to come here at night,” said Lee.
“Any agency that would handle that situation, we’re trained to do that,” said Chief Oscar Benoit, with Lafayette Park Police.
Park Police Chief Oscar Benoit and Gerald Boudreaux, the Parks and Rec. Director, says that’s why they have their own police department, that first responds to incidents in the parks, in conjunction with local authorities.
“For the needs of the public, when it comes to safety in our Parks and Recreation Department,” said Boudreaux.
“We want families to have a safe environment when they visit the Parks and Rec proprieties, that is our number 1 priority,” said Kenneth Franques.
He’s one of the five Park Police officers, along with the Chief.

“We try to encourage, if you see something say something. And notify us,” said Franques.
Boudreaux says the officers are basically equivalent to any other officers in the Parish, to ensure park security.
“I would tell everyone here, bring your kids. We promise we’re going to take care of them. We have cars that patrol every day, and any problem, we’re going to address it,” said Benoit.
The Parks and Recreation Department says they’re beginning to install more cameras as well as lights in their various parks throughout the Parish, to try and deter crime.
However, there are no cameras currently in Acadiana Park.
Residents who live in the area say they’ll continue to visit the park, but would like to see more patrols in the future.
If you ever need to contact a Park Police Officer, dial 9-1-1. The Dispatcher will then alert the Park Police, who will first respond to any incident, and request other local police departments if they need assistance.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of that final suspect, Gabriella Duhon, you can call Crimestoppers or the Sheriff’s Office.
