(WVLA) – The story of the game on Thursday – lack of rhythm, lack of consistency, lack of points!

The Saints only posting 10 points against the Cowboys and a total of 176 yards.

Dallas held New Orleans to 59 yards in the first half – the fewest in a first half since 2001.

“I thought we struggled really throughout the night having any consistency offensively. I thought we made enough plays defensively. We kind of felt like it would be a lower score in game coming in. We just didn’t do enough things in that starts with us as coaches.,” said Saints Head Coach Sean Payton.

“We didn’t get going early. Defense played great. Kept us at the chance to win. We just didn’t do enough. A lot of penalties. Defense got turnovers. We were able to lean on our defense today, but we were unable to do enough to win.,” said Running Back Mark Ingram.

The Saints will have an extended week to work on this loss and move on.

Next up, the Black and Gold will travel to Tampa Bay for a game against the Buccaneers – who are the only other team to beat the Saints this season.

Will they bounce back from this loss and get back at the Bucs for their Week 1 match?

We’ll have to wait and see when kick-off from Raymond James stadium on Sunday, December 9th at Noon.
