LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – The Salvation Army in Lafayette is asking the community to donate cleaning supplies to help flood victims who are starting to clean up their homes.
Major Jeff Daniel said, “We want to help people recover and get their lives back to normal and as quickly as possible, so we will make clean up items available as we receive them.”
The major also said the organization is no longer in need of used clothing and used furnishing.
Currently, The Salvation Army is in need of the following cleaning supply items:
- sports drinks
- bottled water
- bleach
- mops
- brooms
- masks
- gloves
- paper towels
- garbage bags
- cleaning supplies
- hygiene items (soap, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
- baby items (diapers, formula, baby powder bottles, pacifiers, etc.)
Donations of cleaning supplies can be dropped off at the Salvation Army warehouse located at 212 6th Street in Lafayette.
