Students at S.J. Montgomery Elementary in Lafayette got a Surprise visit from Santa today and some students even won new bikes.
Every year academy sports and outdoors selects one school and donates thirty bikes to a different school and this year they selected S.J. Montgomery Elementary.
To choose the winners, students earned a ticket each day they earned an “A” in conduct.
The school then drew the winners for all thirty bikes.
Principal Janine Lafleur said it’s great to see how excited the kids get not only to win a bike but for each other too.
Principal Lafleur thanked the academy for helping to motivate the students during a time when all they think about is the vacation.
