A security guard was arrested in connection with the armed robbery of the Races and Aces truckstop Casino on Tuesday.

Payton Byrd was booked on 1 count of principle to armed robbery.

St Martinville police say Byrd was working at the time of the robbery when Devin Bourda allegedly pointed what appeared to be an object inside a black sock at Byrd and a clerk.

The clerk surrendered an unknown amount of cash, and Bourda fled on foot. 

Bourda is wanted for one count of armed robbery, police say.
