From dancing and singing to playing music and acting, the annual “Senior’s Got Talent”, free talent show showcased some of the best seniors have to offer in St. Martin Parish.

The talent show is held each year at the Sydney Mae Durand Senior Center in Breaux Bridge during senior appreciation month.

“Number one, it gets the seniors out and active. It also allows them the opportunity to socialize, but not only that, we get to see the talents that our seniors have,” says Shanice Lewis, St. Martin Council on Aging Executive Director.

Winners of first, second and third place awards were given cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 dollars.

The event is put on by the St. Martin Council on Aging and was sponsored by the SMCOA and Grace Hospice and Palliative Care.
