Healthy Blue and the Pastoral Alliance are teaming up with State Representative Vincent Pierre to hold another turkey-give-away.
They are giving away over 300 turkeys at Walmart on South East Evangeline Thruway Friday, December 21 st from 12-2 p.m.
They encourage everyone to come early. Every family gets one turkey,
Smile Community Action Agency is holding its third annual Christmas Without Walls event for the homeless. They will provide hot chocolate, emergency hygiene and speak to individuals about how SMILE CAA can help accommodate living situations. This is taking place Wednesday, December 18 from 10 a.m.-1p.m.
‘Embrace a Family’ is an annual event taking place on Thursday, Dec. 19 at SMILE CAA. Several families will receive Christmas gifts, provided by Rosas Angles.
Local artist like Roi Anthony held a concert and coat drive for the less fortunate. They delivered the collected coats to SMILE who will giveaway to many of the individuals they help.
