RAYNE, La. (KLFY)- Rayne Chief of Police Carroll J. Stelly announced that Rayne Detectives are on the scene of a shooting on the corner of West Jeff Davis and Bailey Avenue.
At 3:43 p.m. Friday, Rayne Police received a call of a shooting victim on Bailey Avenue, upon their arrival, officers discovered a young black male with a single gunshot wound to the leg.
He was taken via Air-Med to a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing at this time, Stelly said this evening.
