Police say a 25-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday while driving a vehicle along an interstate through Louisiana’s Capital City.
Herbert Williams of Baker was killed after shots were fired from a passing vehicle on Interstate 10 at about 4:15 a.m., according to Baton Rouge police.
Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., a police spokesman, said investigators do not believe the shooting was random.
Police say three other occupants in the vehicle were not injured.
Officials say Williams died from gunshot injuries after being taken to a hospital.
Police are investigating the shooting. Investigators on Sunday said they had no suspects or motives.
