ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY)– Three are arrested in connection with an armed robbery in the Cankton area.

Authorities with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office tell KLFY News 10 that detectives were investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the intersection of Chris Road and Water Lane in the Cankton area.

Officials say the investigation revealed that Andrew Eskins, Eric Durand, and Jaime Comeaux picked up a victim in Mire Louisiana and brought him to a deserted road in St. Landry Parish.

Once there, authorities say the three robbed the victim at gun point and then left the victim of the side of the road.

Detectives obtained warrants on the suspects.

During the morning hours of May 12, 2016, deputies say they arrested Eric Durand and Jaime Comeaux at a residence in St. Landry Parish.

Andrew Eskine was located according to authorities, just minutes later in Lafayette Parish.

Eskine was later transported to St. Landry Parish for processing.

Sheriff Guidroz told News 10,

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for the quick response in apprehending Eskine. Working together the arrests were made quickly and armed robbery suspects were taken off the streets.”
