ALEXANDRIA, La. (KLFY) – The U.S. Western District Court has denied the request from the SMILE action agency to have a temporary hold placed on the suspension of federal funding for its Head Start program.

The preliminary injunction would allow SMILE to run Head Start program while it appeals.

SMILE community CEO Dr. Christopher Williams says that the agency will continue to explore legal options in their appeal.
