LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Catholic Charities of Acadiana has set up an online donation portal to assist St. Francis Diner in New Iberia following a June 20 freezer malfunction and subsequent loss of thousands of dollars worth of food.
Hundred percent of funds raised through this portal will be delivered to assist St Francis Diner in repairing or replacing freezer equipment, allowing staff to continue serving the poor in New Iberia.
“The work that St Francis Diner does for the people of New Iberia is vital to the charitable mission of the Church, therefore we want to deliver aid to them as quickly as possible to get things back up and running” said Ben Broussard, director of external affairs for Catholic Charities of Acadiana.

“We are working to make it as easy as possible for the public to promptly assist St Francis Diner through online donations without needless delay.”Parish based outreach ministries such as St Francis Diner serve a vital role in delivering essential services to the most vulnerable in our community,” said Broussard.
The public is encouraged to donate by clicking here.
