At a meeting on Monday evening, members of the St. Landry Parish School Board voted to close two schools.

Southwest & North Elementary Schools will close at the end of the current school year, accoding to our Reporter Rebeca Marroquin who was in attendance at the meeting.

Additionally, she says, South Elementary School will only house 5th and 6th grade students. 

And, Grolee, Park Vista, & Northeast Elementary will be home to pre-K through 4th graders.

The changes will take place in the 2019-2020 school year.
