A 17 year old Arnaudville teen crashed into two St. Martin Parish sheriff deputy units Wednesday morning after leading deputies on a high-speed chase.
Around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, deputies say they were patrolling the area of True Friend Road when they noticed a suspicious vehicle and attempted to make a stop.
The driver then fled the area and led deputies on a high speed chase.
Deputies say 17 year old Dartamian Landry of Arnaudville lost control and then deliberately crashed his vehicle into two St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office vehicles on the bridge at the intersection of Hwy. 31 and Hwy. 355 in Cecilia.
Two deputies were injured in the crash and were transported from the scene by Acadian Ambulance to a local hospital where they were treated and released for moderate injuries.
Landry was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a peace officer-2 counts and attempted first degree murder-2 counts.
He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center with a bond set at $550,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
