Wyandotte Elementary in Morgan City will be closed Thursday due to a “strong” odor coming from the gym, school administrators announced.

A notice was published Wednesday by the St. Mary Parish School Board.

“Maintenance personnel and the Morgan City Fire Department are working diligently to identify the source,” the announcement read.  

Students will return to school once the issue has been resolved, the post said.
