LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- Louisiana State Police tell News 10 that officials were serving a warrant for 32-year-old Cody Carriere at his home Thursday morning.

That’s when they say he sped off in his vehicle and crashed near the intersection of Mills Street and Gloria Switch Road.

Officials tell us Carriere then fled on foot into the woods nearby. LSP troopers tried to get him to turn himself in, but eventually called off the search.
