Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana serve over 2000 students every day after school. The fun doesn’t stop when the school year ends. The clubs are gearing up for their summer programming which starts June 3. 

When asked why he came to the boys and girls club Isaiah Meadows says,” It was a great summer program for me to get out of the house a little bit.” He started a few weeks early, but Isaiah is just one of the hundreds of club members across Acadiana getting ready for summer programs. 

Missy Andrade the CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana. “Between our five locations we are serving kids all day. 7:30 to 5:30 providing meals, snacks, of course a fun and safe environment for them to be.”

Isaiah already knows exactly how he wants to spend his time at the vermillion unit this summer. He says, “I want to do lot of arts and crafts and make things that I’ve never done before. I can get creative and add my imagination to it.”
