LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—The Two candidates for the Louisiana Supreme Court will debate for the public on UL-Lafayette’s Campus on September, 26.
The candidates are State District Judge Marilyn castle of Lafayette and Judge Jimmy Genovese of Opelousas, who sits on the 3rd Court of Appeal.
Both Candidates are Republicans.
The debate, which is co-sponsored by the Acadiana Press Club and the UL-Lafayette chapter of Society of Professional Journalist.
The debate will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in room 241 of Burke-Hawthorne Hall.
Both candidates are vying for the seat of retiring Associate Justice Jeanette Theriot Knoll.
The two candidates will be answering questions from a panel of five local journalists, including KLFY’s Rock Macko.
